After 3 years of living in a 400 square foot studio apartment, I’m pretty much the expert in apartment organization. Over the past few years I have mastered organization in a small space. Let me tell you… it can be difficult living in a small apartment, but it doesn’t have to be.
There are some great ways to save space in every area of your home. With some help from some great storage options, I have you covered when it comes to organization in your bedroom, the kitchen, and bathroom.
Bedroom
This was particularly difficult when I was living in a studio, especially because I didn’t have a closet. I had to be very savvy when it came to keep a tidy bedroom area.
The best thing I bought when living in my old studio were under the bed storage compartments for clothes and shoes. The space under the bed came in handy when I was trying to figure out what to do with all of my clothes. Instead of throwing it under there and calling it a day, I made sure it was tidy and organized so I was still able to easily access everything on a day to day basis.

Kitchen
I definitely spend most of my time in the kitchen because I love to cook and bake. I also have a lot of appliances, baking necessities, and other kitchen essentials. Since I cook every day I needed everything to be easily accessible and organized.
The best thing I bought for my kitchen are these great food storage containers. They are a game changer! Everything looks nice and organized while saving space at the same time.
My other favorite kitchen organization item is this under the sink shelf. So much space is lost when you only have one level to put things under the sink. This was the perfect thing to organize all of my cleaning supplies.

Bathroom
If you’re anything like me you have WAY too much makeup, lotions, skincare, self tan… the list goes on and on. My bathroom was tinyyy in my studio so I had to get creative.
If it wasn’t for my over the toilet shelving unit there is no way I could’ve stored all my products. I bought this exact one from Amazon and put small bins inside on the shelves for extra organization.
Similar to the kitchen, I wanted to make sure I maximized the space under the sink so I used these stackable clear bins for extra products. These are the best because you can see what is in them without having to take them out and dig through everything to find what you’re looking for.
